Patient Registration

Once a record is added to your panel in Hale – either manually or through an integrated EHR – all the patient needs to do is download Hale from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to get started.

For those patients with listed email addresses, Hale makes it easy to send them a personalized invitation with instructions for getting started. You can also let them know directly that they can download the Hale Health app if speaking to them over the phone or in person.

When scheduling video visits through an integrated EHR or PM system, Hale will automatically send patients a confirmation email for the appointment – including instructions for setting up their account.


Patient Account Setup

After downloading the Hale Health app, patients will need to verify their identity to activate their account. They simply tap ‘Get Started’ to start the process and use their first name, last name, date of birth and last four of SSN to locate their record. They will then be sent an access code to the phone number on file, either via SMS or an automated call.

It’s important to note that the information patients provide must match their record exactly. Nicknames may sometimes cause trouble; if a patient has issues signing up first double-check the information in their patient record is correct and matches what they expect to be using in verification.

Once verified, the app guides patients through the process of setting a password for their account and completing their profile – and connects them to their primary provider, with a welcome message from the practice.
